Potassium Sorbate is a natural preservative. It is very widely used as preservative in many foods & cosmetics. It is a hhite, very fine powder with no smell or odor. Solubilizes very easily in cold water. Very effective preservative active against all molds, yeast and aerophile bacteria growth. Effectiveness is further enhanced by chelating agents (ie EDTA). Effective in a wide pH range of 2-6.5 and extended periods of time.

Typical concentration 0.14-0.31% (if used alone) or 0.1-0.2% (if used in combination with other preservatives).
