| “I found the workshops to be highly effective in helping people to explore their own communication abilities and to develop strategies for improving those abilities. They had an almost magic quality to them in which you could see some instant positive changes, but they also left participants with the capacity to continue to think more deeply about their communication and how they can continue to grow. They were really the best such workshops I have encountered anywhere. Really quite fabulous!” |
Duration: 2 hours
Numbers: Works best with over 25 participants. As many as 100. Possible with smaller group but lacks some of the performance dynamics.
Workshop facilitator
Dr. Paul Heinrich, Creative Director of the PMCCC.
In addition to a doctorate in Theatre and Drama from Northwestern University in
Illinois, Paul has run a drama department, worked as a stage director and acting
coach, and performed and taught acting, voice, and performance at tertiary
level. An extensive background and training in stage performance combined with
six years experience as a teacher in medical communication enables Paul to offer
health practitioners a very focussed and pertinent workshop.
| Note: The workshop does not cover analysis of audience, and preparation of presentation and audiovisuals. There are many workshops currently available which cover those issues. This workshop tackles the more central issue of the understanding and mastering the forces that impinge upon us when we turn and face the herd. |
