Polawax, or Emulsifying Wax NF, is a nonionic self-emulsifying blend for professional quality lotions, creams and emulsions.  It can be used as a thickener or thinner depending on the concentration used.   Polawax is recommended for lotions and creams for body or facial applications.  It can also be used in anhydrous skin care scrubs and body poishers for improved rinseability.
