Non-ionic, multi-purpose emulsifier (enables water and oil to mix together; the thickening is increased when used with cetyl alcohol or sorbitan stearate). It is also a dispersing agent for oil and water, thickener for heavy oil based products, solubilizer & stabilizer of essential oils to keep mixture from breaking down.
